A 27-year-old taxi driver’s body has been found at Waisali Hill in Savusavu.
Police are currently at the scene.
An eyewitness has told fijivillage News that he saw a trail of blood leading to the body on the hill.
He also says the body has visible wounds.
Police say as investigators gather more information to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death, initial information gathered was that the victim had failed to return home last night after driving his taxi.
They say the victim’s taxi was found abandoned at Waisali Hill near the water source, and a search conducted around the area led to the discovery of the victim's body further downhill.
