Fiji-born Sevu Reece scored a double for the Crusaders but it wasn't enough to give the Canterbury side the victory as they went down 27-23 against the Blues in Super Rugby Pacific last night.

This win has broken the Blues' 18-year losing streak against the Crusaders at Christchurch.

Blues halfback Finlay Christie scored the Blues' first try followed by Dalton Papalii’s try in the 30th minute giving the Auckland side a 17-10 lead at the break.

Hooker Kurt Eklund continued his impressive try-scoring run for the Blues, propelling them out to a 24-10 lead after the break.

Reece’s double try came with 20 minutes left in the second half but Beauden Barrett’s penalty kick in the 64th minute sealed the Blues' victory.

In other results, the Reds edged the Rebels 36-32.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs will meet the Moana Pasifika at 4.35pm today, the Highlanders will face the Hurricanes at 7.05 tonight and the Waratahs will take on Western Force at 9.45 tonight.
