The Blues-Crusaders Super Rugby Aotearoa sold-out finale has not been called off yet with teams still waiting for government advice.

In a statement, the Blues have indicated they had gone into a partial shutdown as per the Government’s latest Level 3 lockdown imposed on Auckland city and were awaiting further developments.

This is following the four new coronavirus infections, Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 at midday today and the rest of New Zealand will move to Level 2.

The Blues are due to host the Crusaders in the last Super Rugby Aotearoa match for the year at 3.35pm Sunday.

They had announced on Monday that it was a sellout with all 43,236 tickets accounted for.

In another match this week the Highlanders are scheduled to play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Saturday.
