Blue House takes early lead in Grammar Inter-house as Veisaqa secures gold in 1,500m event

Arieta Veisaqa won gold in the 1,500m event

There has been an early change in the medal tally for the Suva Grammar School Inter-house Battle of the Colours competition after Arieta Veisaqa won a gold medal for the Blue House this morning at the HFC Bank Stadium.

This was the first event of the day where she ran alone in the 1,500m event.

The 15-year-old student from Nalawa in Ra is aiming to represent Grammar in the upcoming Zone 2 and win the blue ribbon event at the Coca-Cola games that will be held on the 2nd to the 4th of May.

Blue House currently leads with 11 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals and in 2nd place, Green has 10 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze medals.

Currently in 3rd place is Yellow with 2 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals while Red in the 4th position with 4 gold medal, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals.
