Police are urging the public to be on the lookout for opportunists, especially during this adverse weather, after they have been receiving numerous complaints of livestock theft.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Livai Driu says opportunists will take advantage of the current weather situation, and their officers are also conducting Community Policing Visitation during this festive Operations.

He says they are also providing advice to members of the communities to be responsible and ensure their livestock are well looked after.

ACP Driu is calling on members of the communities to secure their livestock before the weather worsens or before it gets dark.

He adds Police will continue to be on the lookout for livestock theft and calls on everyone to be on the lookout for each other.
