Bangladeshi national who is accused of killing his two roommates remanded in custody

Bangladeshi national Mohammed Masum who is accused of killing his two roommates over the weekend has been remanded in custody by the Ba Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Samuela Qica has transferred the case to the Lautoka High Court.

Masum is charged with two counts of murder.

A carrier driver found the first body in a drum in a cane field on Saturday.

The first victim was running a clothing business with the Bangladeshi national.

Investigators managed to recover the second victim's body on Sunday.

They found it buried about 100 meters away from their flat in Lane 25 in Rarawai, Ba.

The case will be called in the Lautoka High Court on 1st May, 2020.
