Minister for Housing and Infrastructure, Parveen Bala urged the members of the Fiji Building Designers Association to provide services that are transparent and accountable.
Bala made these comments at the Association's Annual General Meeting today and told them as professionals providing services, they will need to ensure that their services meet required standards.
Bala says it is their duty of care for the industry which in the long run will protect them, their business and the clients they serve.
The Minister told the members that building designing is not all about the structure at the end of the process but how a building will look like in shape and form and how it will perform for the purpose to which it is built.
He adds that the underlining principles is significant in the building and designing industry.
