The bail ruling for Shonal Shiv Sharma, who has been charged with being in possession of 640.139 grams of imported cocaine will be delivered next Friday.

The 40-year-old manager from Tamavua appeared before Magistrate Vinaina Diroiroi this afternoon and is being represented by Feizal Haniff, Devanesh Sharma and Amrit Chand.

Haniff told the court that they had filed a formal bail application and had discussed with the State on some of the bail conditions and the court can add more if needed.

State Prosecutor Eoghn Samisoni says they did not object to bail.

Magistrate Diroiroi told Haniff that just because the State is not objecting does not mean the court will do as well.

Haniff says they have also submitted affidavits for two sureties.
