Former Fiji men's 7s team head coach, Gareth Baber

It will be the perfect team to lay a strong foundation again for our Fiji Airways Fijian National Men's and Women's 7s as the National Program Manager for Fiji 7s, Gareth Baber will work with our new Men's coach, Osea Kolinisau and Women's coach, Saiasi Fuli.

Baber who coached Fiji to win the Olympic 7s gold in 2021, has a great track record when it comes to player development.

He has a great eye for rugby talent, and coached and mentored a winning team after the departure of the 2016 Olympics 7s team.

Baber will work with Kolinisau, Fuli, the High Performance General Manager and Women’s High Performance Manager.

He is expected to be in the country within the next few days.

The Fiji Rugby Union is expected to make an announcement in due course.

The Fiji 7s teams are currently preparing for the Hong Kong 7s tournament.

They are also based in Suva for their Olympics build up training program.
