Fiji 7s Team training in the last tournament

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach, Gareth Baber says for the time being they are not expecting any overseas-based players to join the squad.

In an interview with Fijivillage, Baber says he has spoken to the clubs in Europe and there is no way that these clubs will release their players since at the moment they do not know what their season will look like.

He says with overseas travel restrictions still in place, they will work with the players they currently have.

He adds before the tournaments in September and October, he believes the World Rugby will be discussing the legitimacy on how these tournaments will be held.

The Fiji Men’s National 7s team players are individually conducting their training and they are continuously updating Baber on their progress.
