Ba opened their 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship campaign with a 2-1 victory over Navua in the final match of day one at the 4R Stadium in Govind Park, Ba.

The Group B encounter saw both teams locked in a goalless first half.

Ba came out stronger in the second half, with Vilitati Kautoga and Etonia Dogalau scoring a goal each giving the Men in Black a 2-nil advantage.

Navua's Simione Domoni was shown a red card, reducing his side to ten men, however, they refused to go down quietly and Peniame Drova scored a goal for them.

Despite their attempts, Navua couldn’t find an equaliser, as Ba held on to claim a hard-fought 2-1 victory in front of their home crowd.

In other results, Rewa thrashed Nadroga 6–nil, defending champions Labasa got off to a solid start by defeating Nadi 2–nil, while Suva and Lautoka settled for a 1–all draw.

In the senior division, the match between Lami and Bua ended in a 3-all draw while Rakiraki defeated Dreketi 3-1.

In tomorrow's matches, Nadi will face Suva at 2pm, Rewa will face Navua at 4pm, Labasa will take on Lautoka at 6pm while Ba will take on Nadroga at 8pm.
