Ba beats Navua 3-0 in VPL

Ba has thrashed Navua 3-0 in the Vodafone Premier League at the Uprising Sports Centre this afternoon.

Both teams were locked 0-0 at the break but the Men in Black proved too strong in the second with goals from Abbu Zahid, Mitieli Naiviro and Savenaca Nakalevu.

Navua were reduced to 10 men late in the match after veteran defender Seveci Rokotakala was shown a red card for a deliberate hand ball in his own box.

Ba has now moved to second on the VPL points table with 19 points while Suva are third with 16 points.

In tomorrows matches, Labasa play Nasinu at 1.30pm at Subrail Park, Rewa take on Nadi at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Suva host Lautoka at 3pm.
