The highly anticipated 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants tournament kicks off today at Subrail Park, with Ravindra's Transport Suva aiming to put a challenging buildup behind them and open their campaign with a win against Stratum Construction Nadi.
Head coach Brian Singh confirmed that despite setbacks caused by poor weather and the unavailability of training grounds in Viti Levu, the team remains determined as they prepare to take on Nadi in a crucial opening clash.
He says they implemented alternative training methods to keep the squad sharp and motivated.
He says that despite a disappointing 1-0 loss to Nadroga in the recent Extra Premier League, the players have bounced back with renewed focus.
Singh says that, like any other team, they also want to win the BOG title.
He adds that their focus is now on Nadi, and they will take each match as it comes.
The tournament officially gets underway today, with Suva playing Nadi at 12pm.
In other games, defending champions Lautoka plays Nadroga at 2pm, Rewa faces Navua at 4pm, and hosts Labasa will meet Ba at 6:30pm.
