Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, is gearing up to make history as 35,000 volunteers prepare to light over 2.6 million diyas at Ram Ki Paidi to mark the Festival of Lights.

The previous record stood at around 2.4 million diyas, set during last year’s celebrations.

This year, Ayodhya aims to surpass that milestone with a grand target and set a new Guinness World Record.

Preparations have been made meticulously to ensure that this year’s Diwali is bigger, brighter, and more memorable than ever before.

Meanwhile, a grand aarti will also be performed with 2,100 participants.

Diwali marks the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, drawing devotees and tourists from around the world every year.

During Diwali, people light thousands of diyas to celebrate the return of Lord Ram after his victory over the demon king Ravan and 14 years of exile in the forest.

Diwali will be celebrated on Tuesday.
