Australia has sent more relief items to help those who have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

Another Royal Australian Air Force C-17 aircraft landed at the Nadi International Airport yesterday afternoon with the additional TC Yasa relief supplies.

Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes says Australia is committed to backing the Fijian Government’s quick response by ensuring additional relief supplies are available.

Feakes says the Fijian Government, NDMO and local support services are doing a phenomenal job coordinating the distribution of supplies to impacted communities.

Relief supplies include over 640 shelter kits, 280 hygiene kits, medical supplies, chainsaws and parts and solar street lights and lighting supplies.

It also flew in supplies from UKAID, Red Cross, UNICEF and Care.
