The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team lost their first match against Black Ferns Ma 26-12 in the Oceania 7s in Auckland.

The Fijiana started the match with a try from Viniana Riwai to lead 7-0.

But it was all Black Ferns Ma from that point on as they scored 26 points before Fiji got a consolation try.

The Fijiana will play Australia Selection at 6.12pm.

Meanwhile, Australia Selection scored four unanswered tries in the second half to upset the Fiji Men’s 7s side 29-19 in the Oceania 7s.

Fiji led 19-7 at half time after two tries from Jeremaia Matana and one try from Waisea Nacuqu.

But it was all Australia in the second half as they mounted relentless pressure to upset Fiji.

Fiji will play Tonga at 5pm.

Meanwhile New Zealand beat Tonga 38-0.
