Australia Kangaroo second rower Latrell Mitchell was brought to tears when he was embraced in the traditional Fijian prayer circle.

The Australian highlighted this after their first win against the Fiji Bati in the weekend.

Mitchell says the Fijian culture is all about spreading that good energy that makes our journey safe and theirs also.

He says that passion brought him to tears because he started thinking about his family back home, and that’s what the Fijians were also doing.

The Australian second rower says Fijians are very passionate people, and he loves when stuff is shared which made him connect to his people and his home.

He says that is what the international footy means.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Bati will face Italy at 1.30am next Sunday.
