FASANOC CEO Lorraine Mar says that all efforts will be made to take the athletes that have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics even if there is a reduction in grant.

Fiji National Sports Commission Chairman Peter Mazey yesterday said that they are anticipating a 50% reduction in their budget allocation.

Marr says in anticipation of this, FASANOC has looked at other funds and grants and have made it available to the National Federation.

However, she says the preparations of athletes aiming to compete in the Olympics will be badly affected if there is a reduction in budget allocation.

Marr says they will just have to look at their own budget and see some things that they might have to do without.

She adds they fully understand the current situation due to the Pandemic and expect a significant reduction in their budget allocation.
