Head of the Vaccination Taskforce of the Health Ministry, Doctor Rachel Devi and CFL News Director Vijay Narayan.

The Head of the Vaccination Taskforce of the Health Ministry, Doctor Rachel Devi says the COVID-19 vaccine, AstraZeneca that is being received by Fijians has undergone numerous tests and studies, and it has been developed by many great scientists.

Doctor Devi says it took a shorter time to develop the vaccine because the whole world was working together to get the COVID-19 vaccines out to protect the people.

While speaking on our Straight Talk program, Doctor Devi says this is not a vaccine that is being tried on Fijians as Fiji would never allow that to happen.

Doctor Devi says people should also go with the evidence where the risk of severe conditions and deaths will be reduced when people are fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca.

You can also check out Doctor Devi’s interview on Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan on our fijivillage facebook page at 8am tomorrow (Friday).
