Ashnita Devi who made 28 different types of sweets, savouries and a cake castle has won the Navtarang Rang Birangi Mithaiya Competition with Ashabhai during the Navtarang Radio Sargam Fanta Holi Ke Rang Ke Sang Show at the Rups Mega Complex in Nakasi.

Devi who lives in Kalokalo Crescent in Makoi says it took her three days to make the sweets and two hours to make the cake.

Devi says she will use her $250 prize money for her son's education.

She adds she will stay for the whole show because she always supports Navtarang and Radio Sargam.

The winner of Radio Sargam Rang Birangi Mithaiya Competition with Ashabhai, Sugra Habib says she spent three days making the sweets and savouries.

Habib says she will spend the money on herself as she worked hard to make the different dishes.

The 2nd place $150 price money winner for Navtarang Competition is Madhu Lata Singh while Farisha Shabnam in 3rd place won $100.

The second place $150 price money winner for Sargam Competition is Momina Mozmin while Rozia Begum won $100.

All participants and judges also got Ashabhai gift hampers.

The judges of the competition were Usha Chauhan, Hansa Patel, Kumud Chauhan.

Meanwhile, the show is well underway where people have enjoyed performances by Beats Fiji, Dhoom Dhamaka and Yuva Dance Group.

There will be other performances throughout the day by the announcers, Charfar, Ghagra Paltan and Shobna Chanel.

There are many giveaways from sponsors Coca-Cola and Vodafone to be won as well.

The show is expected to end at about 9pm.

People have started to arrive early for the Fanta and Navtarang Radio Sargam Holi Ke Rang Ke Sang Show at the Rups Mega Complex in Nakasi.

Komal Kumar says she arrived at the Rups Complex at about 10am with her husband and 2 daughters.

She says she is most excited to watch all the dance performances, especially her favourite announcer, Jay Prasad.

Rati Lal says he has also arrived at about 10am for the show.

He says he will stay as along as he can.

Lal adds he's looking forward to see his favourite announcer, Reena Kumar dance.

Raj from Nausori says arrived early with her daughter and has made a few friends already.

She says she is looking forward to Charfar's dance show.

Meanwhile, the judging is about to begin for the Navtarang Sargam Rang Birangi Mithaiya competition with Ashabhai.

Performances begin with Dhoom Dhamaka taking the stage first followed by Beats Fiji and Yuva Group.

There will be other performances throughout the day by the announcers, Charfar, Ghagra Paltan and Shobna Chanel.

There are many giveaways from sponsors Coca-Cola and Vodafone to be won as well.

The show is expected to end at about 9pm.




Stage set for a great Navtarang and Sargam Holi Ke Rang Ke Sang stage show today

The stage is set for a fun, entertaining and great Navtarang and Sargam Fanta and Vodafone Holi Ke Rang Ke Sang stage show today at the Nakasi Rups Complex.

With all preparations done, people can expect a fun-filled day with great entertainment and laughter for the whole family.

There will be cultural items, sweet competitions, folk singing by different artists, distribution of sweets and playing with colors.

The Navtarang and Sargam Holi Stage Show will be held from 1pm to 8pm this Saturday.
