Good news for job seekers as around 70 people are expected to be employed at the new Extra Supermarket Challenge Plaza branch in Laucala Beach when it opens later this year.

Extra Supermarket Managing Director, Kavishay Abhimannu says the $6 million project is their third branch and it will have a supermarket, Artisan Bakery and Deli which will sell specialist bread, pastry, cakes and their new range of pies and Barista Style coffee.

He says the branch will also house their largest walk-in liquor store with a large selection of imported and local spirits and international wine.

Abhimannu says they are investing in state of the art technologies for infrastructure and refrigeration.

He says they are also focusing on technology that is energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
