The trophy is coming back to Delainabua.

Those were the proud words of Army Wives coach Seini Naitagutagu after her side successfully defended their Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Netball title against Police Wives at the FMF National Gymnasium.

Naitagutagu says she was delighted with the team’s performance, noting the hard work that went into preparing for this year’s competition.

She says she can see the standard has lifted from previous games, and is thankful to the Police Wives for putting up a strong competition.

Despite the loss, the Police Wives earned praise for their grit and commitment, with coach Samuela Tucava expressing pride in his team.

Tucava says both teams came very well prepared, and that it is unfortunate, but he is proud of the Police Wives for giving their all on the court.

He says after today, they will go back to the drawing board, and come back stronger next year.
