The Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong says people advising the media that there is a COVID-19 case in an area where they are conducting screening undermines their work.
Dr Fong says this compromises their work before they even start screening people in that particular area.
He says the process they follow when identifying an area for screening is dictated by the area the COVID-19 patient travels.
The Permanent Secretary says the only screening area that is in Suva at the moment is Cunningham.
