An app is being developed with the intention of being the one-stop-shop digital agriculture platform that caters to everyone in the agriculture value chain.
This will include farmers, agribusinesses, middlemen, farmer organizations, and Government agencies. It currently caters for farmers growing crops, raising livestock, dairy farmers, and tilapia farmers involved in aquaculture.
Kenneth Katafono of TraSeable Farms who are developing the app says their aim is to provide data in real-time.
Katafono says they are working with Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development or FRIEND and farming organizations around Fiji. He says they are in the final stages before releasing the app.
