A driver who was allegedly drunk drove off the Viseisei Bridge into the river at around 10am yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations ACP Livai Driu says the suspect’s behavior was selfish and inconsiderate to other road users and his own family as the accident could have cost him his life.
ACP Driu further says drunk driving is dangerous and selfish as it not only risks the driver and their passenger's life but other innocent road users as well.
Police say the suspect is in police custody while investigations continue.
