We will come down hard on those intent on instigating trouble – ACP Driu

Police Chief of Operations, ACP Livai Driu has issued a warning that Police will not take those incidents lightly where it shows that people are trying to destabilise the country.

Following the alleged attempted arson at a fuel company terminal in Suva, ACP Driu says they will get to those involved and will come down hard on those intent on instigating trouble.

He says they have met the management and company as well as other companies with regards to the security of their premises.

A team has been formed to investigate the alleged attempted arson case at the fuel company terminal in Suva on Sunday morning.

ACP Crime Sakeo Raikaci says the incident was discovered by the security guard during one of his routine checks.

ACP Raikaci adds that the investigation team is pursuing some leads based on the initial information gathered.
