The fifth edition of the Fiji Fashion Week show this week will not have any international models.
Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director, Ellen Whippy-Knight has said that in the previous years they had to invite overseas professionals to model for the show.
She said local models have a lot to offer so all due attention this year will be given to them.
In addition New York City designer Laquan Smith who is one of the 15 overseas fashion designers to be showcasing his costumes said Fiji models have great attitude and physical attributes which are good signs for any designer.
Fiji Fashion week show starts on Thursday with the 'Echoes of the Pacific Night'.
Show will be held at the Vodafone Arena starting at 7pm.
