The Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation Ministry's ultimate goal is to ensure that 104,871 women living in the rural area and in the village have access to sewing machines and a source of income.
These were the words of Womens Minister, Dr. Jiko Luveni while accepting 750 sewing machines from the All China Women's Federation today.
Dr. Luveni said sewing machines are an essential tool for women in rural areas as they could improve their financial status and earn a living.
