Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shamima Ali

Do we need this size of the cabinet, did we really need to get Opposition members in who were voted out for good reason, and this just looks like a political move.

Those are the comments of Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shamima Ali.

Ali says she was dancing on the streets when the 2022 general election results came out but she is disappointed with the way things have turned out.

She says they keep missing opportunities, and more women and young people should get into government.

Ali asks who are we pleasing as one of the reasons is to try and change the constitution but she says there are top lawyers in the country who can work through that.

She says there are more pressing matters to deal with to bring relief to the people.
