Agape Healing Church Ministry Pastor Waisake Tulavu at Suva

Agape Healing Church Ministry Pastor, Waisake Tulavu who raped two women and sexually assaulted another woman has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment by High Court Judge Justice, Daniel Goundar this morning.

Justice Goundar labelled Tulavu as a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Justice Goundar says the victims placed their trust on the pastor for spiritual guidance but instead of doing that he sexually abused them.

He says Tulavu targeted the victims because he knew they were vulnerable.

Justice Goundar says his actions were well planned and he involved his other followers to help him to gain the trust of the victims.

He says his family is dependent on him for financial support however he will not be spared from going to prison because of that.

A non-parole period of 12 years has been set.
