Adinaimata and Naidau to make international 7s debut in Toulouse

Seahawks rugby 7s player Elenoa Adinaimata and Striders rugby 7s player, Mereseini Naidau, will make their international 7s debut for the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s in the Toulouse 7s next week.

Adinaimata and Naidau have been selected to be part of the 12-member Fijiana side as they hope to gain direct qualification to the Olympic Games next year.

Lavena Cavuru, Ivamere Nabura and Viniana Riwai are part of the travelling team due to injuries.

Other players named in the travelling squad include Rejieli Daveua, Vani Buleki, Rusila Nagasau, Talei Wilson, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Reapi Ulunisau, Maria Rokotuisiga, Ana Maria Naimasi, Younis Bese and Meredani Qoro.

The Fijiana’s first pool match in the Toulouse 7s will be against Spain at 9.28pm next Friday, they will then play Japan at 5.37am Saturday and meet Great Britain at 9.05pm Saturday in their final pool game.

The cup quarter-finals will start at 1.26am Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 7.44pm Sunday and the final will be held at 3.26am on the 15th of this month.
