Suva soccer coach Maxwell Thaggard says they always knew that the team which adapts to the heavy ground conditions would come out victorious in the Vodafone Fiji FACT.

Suva won the tournament after 8 years yesterday after beating Nadi 1-0 in the final at Subrail Park yesterday.

Thaggard says they had a good talk about it in the dressing to just keep shooting and it might deflect off somebody which is exactly what happened.

Suva took home $17,000 as prize money.

Suva had lost in the final of 5 major tournaments since 2018.

This seasons top goal scorer Sairusi Nalaubu claimed the golden boot with five goals while Shahil Dave won the golden ball award.
