Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has met with the farming and business community in Ba.

While speaking to a few farmers in Raviravi Ba, Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted the various government assistance for farmers available such as the $250 assistance provided to farmers who were recently affected by flooding around the country and the free seedling distributions already taking place and urged them to utilise the various assistance now readily available.

The meeting was also an opportune time for the farmers to have their issues addressed by Sayed-Khaiyum.

Sayed-Khaiyum met with the business community at the Ba Town Council hall and gave a brief update on the Fijian economy.

A post on the Fijian Government Facebook Page says the meeting was also an opportunity to hear from the various business owners on the issues they faced and how it can be best addressed.

Sayed-Khaiyum also discussed various COVID-19 safety measures in place and emphasised on the importance of compliance.
