Be fit at all times.

This is the message from Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew to officers serving at the Police Mobile Force.

While speaking at the 50th anniversary celebrations for the Police Mobile Force, Chew says it is part of the job at the Mobile Force to keep fit because they can be called at any moment if there is a disturbance in any division.

He adds if officers are not fit, they cannot perform their duties well.

The Acting Commissioner also highlighted that one of his best moments at the Mobile Force is attending drills from 8am to 1pm.

He says they would run around the tarmac without shirts but only their trousers and boots on during a hot sunny day.

Chew says these drills mould them into what they are now.

He also highlighted some of the achievements of the Force throughout his years of service.
