Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew

Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, has directed the Divisional Police Commander Southern to verify allegations made in a social media post claiming a man sustained burns at the hands of Police officers whilst in custody at the Nabua Police Station.

A concerned parent posted on Facebook that her son was taken in by police officers from Nabua on Sunday evening.

The concerned parent said when her son did not return by Monday morning, she contacted him, and her son told her that he was in the hospital because he alleged that the officers poured kerosene on him and lit it.
