People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka

There have been accusations and blame levelled against me that have motivated and energized me to start a movement which is the People's Alliance.

This was highlighted by the People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka during their Suva Urban Special General Meeting.

An emotional Rabuka told the party supporters that the movement will not be easy.

Rabuka says the Party’s vision is to create a united Fiji of all races, faiths and beliefs.

The Former Prime Minister says people should vote for people they have confidence in.

He says we deserve the government we choose and elect as this is the government that is chosen by the majority.

Rabuka says he has been invited to the West to talk to people who believe that the East of Fiji has been favoured in our history so far.

He says that he has also been asked to explain what will he do to get rid of the discrimination.

Rabuka says as we celebrated International Women's Day, some people had said that he has never done anything good for Fiji, but he just wants to remind them that he was the Army Commander when he opened the recruitment for women.

He says some of these women rose to very high ranks in Fiji.
