The Goundar Shipping Services are trying to recover the vessel Lomaiviti Princess 11, which was grounded this morning on a reef close to Levuka while it was on its way from Natovi.

fijivillage News received information from a passenger that about 40 passengers are currently onboard the vessel and have been stuck on the reef for more than 2 hours now.

The passenger says a boat has arrived at the site, but attempts to remove the vessel from the reef have been futile.

In a video sent to fijivillage News, the passengers can be seen wearing life jackets as they prepare for extraction.
