About 200 families from Lakena Hill 2 in Nausori are without running water for the past 8 days.

Resident Kristiana Ram says they have not received any water supply since last Wednesday and the water cart last provided water on Monday.

She says they have lodged complaints with the Water Authority of Fiji many times but no action is being taken.

Ram says the residents have been affected by this as they are not able to wash their clothes, go to work and do not have enough water to drink.

She says it is also affecting her daughter going to school as she has her exams and graduation.

Ram says this is an ongoing issue they have been facing since October.

Ram says almost 200 families are residing in Lakena and many people can not afford to buy bottled water due to the high cost of living.

She says she also has 2 tanks and sometimes people fill water from her tank for cooking and drinking.

We have sent questions to the Water Authority of Fiji. They are yet to respond
