Air Terminal Services (Fiji) Pte. Limited has announced that it has agreed to pay a lump sum amount to employees for Federated Airline Staff Association’s Log of Claims from 2014 to 2018 and an increment effective from 1st January last year amounting to approximately $3 million.

The lump-sum amount will be deposited into employees bank accounts as part of their next pay with the increment paid in the following pay with the new rate of pay effective in employees pay thereafter.

The Terms of Settlement for 2014 to 2019 Log of Claims was executed in Nadi by the ATS Acting CEO Hare Mani, Manager Human Resources Richard Donaldson and Federated Airline Staff Association National President Semisi Turagabaleti and National Secretary Manasa Ratuvili. ATS held its first board meeting for 2020 and following this meeting, the board members witnessed this historic event.

ATS says it recognises the strategic input and support of the Board Chair, Parvez Akbar and the rest of the board, as well as the ATS Management Team and the FASA Officials for 2018 to 2020 who all worked together in resolving outstanding employment disputes.

Akbar says this is an excellent outcome for all parties, including the hard working workers of ATS, Management, FASA, the board and all stakeholders.

He says this is a good example of parties working in good faith to reach an amicable outcome.

Akbar says ATS is an organisation of strategic importance to the tourism and aviation industries, and strives to support Fijian economy by providing the essential services it does.
