The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific is financing AUD72 million to support the Fiji Government and the Fiji Roads Authority in the renewal and resealing of more than 1.5 million square metres of road surface throughout Fiji, as well as the replacement of nine critical bridges that are crucial to the Fijian economy.

Australia in Fiji says the resealing of Fiji roads and rehabilitation of bridges is critical to transport infrastructure in Fiji.

They say through the AIFFP Australia is proud to support transport infrastructure priorities in Fiji as this will address the challenges faced by climate change while boosting the local economy.

The Australia in Fiji infrastructure team also travelled to Suva last week to check progress on two bridges on the Eastern coast of Viti Levu as part of the Fiji Transport Infrastructure Restoration Project.
