Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and National Federation Party, Professor Biman Prasad

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the leader of the National Federation Party, Professor Biman Prasad was investigated by FCCC in 2018 however Prof Prasad says the allegations turned out to be false.

Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted this when parliament was debating on the FCCC 2017-2018 Annual Reports.

Meanwhile Prof Prasad says a crook rented his house and did not pay rent for more than 12 months.

He says this person claimed to have been charged higher rent and took more than $10,000.

Assistant Minister for Employment Alvick Maharaj then raised a point of the order saying that Professor Prasad should stick to the report.
