A man is still admitted in serious condition in the Lautoka Hospital while seven other passengers are admitted in the Nadi Hospital following the bus accident in Carreras in Votualevu in Nadi last night.
A woman was killed in the bus accident. She died at the scene.
Police say the driver allegedly lost control of the bus causing it to veer off the road.
The bus driver is currently in custody at the Namaka Police Station as investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 5 compared to 14 for the same period last year.
