The Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport has a common goal to establish businesses, grow talent, create brand identity, and contribute to the Fijian economy.

This was highlighted by the Minster for Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport Faiyaz Koya during the Business of Fashion Graduation at the Nabua FNU\TVET campus.

Koya says they have established a unit for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and the primary role is to provide businesses hand-holding services to unlock barriers that create a more enabling business environment.

He says the Fijian Government released a specific product solely for women entrepreneurs, and the allocation of $1 million is dedicated to Fiji Development Bank to support women entrepreneurs in realizing their visionary business ideas.

Koya acknowledged and issued the Fijian Designed, Fijian Sewn, and Fijian Crafted licenses to 7 entrepreneurs, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Fiji Fashion Week to anticipate greater collaboration in the months to come.
