Overall student attendance for the first day of school was 95%.
Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar says despite the devastation caused by TC Yasa, they had almost full attendance in the Eastern and Northern Divisions.
There was 95% overall student attendance in the Western and Central Divisions.
Akbar says they are grateful to the parents for their support and thank them for sending their children to school.
The Ministry says it will continue to work for the benefit of all Fijian students and will provide assistance to students severely affected by TC Yasa and COVID-19.
