Energy Fiji Limited is currently working around the clock to restore power throughout Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

EFL says they have restored 87% of energy in Viti Levu and their teams are working to assess the extensive damages in the Northern Division.

They say that they know that some areas are still without power in Viti Levu at the moment but people have to understand that there is a process to follow and it takes time.

EFL says their teams are systematically working to ensure that they will safely repair and energise the lines.

EFL has not given a timeframe on when power will be restored in all areas.

Meanwhile, some residents in Nadi and Lautoka are still without power since 11am yesterday.
