8-year-old Elenoa Gukiwasa, a survivor of last year's tragic bus accident in Lautoka, has successfully undergone a prosthetic limb fitting procedure in Sydney, Australia.

Gukiwasa was financially supported by the Aspen Medical Foundation and accompanied by her grandmother and Aspen Medical clinicians to Australia.

Her journey towards recovery has taken a significant step forward, as she has begun physiotherapy sessions at the Lautoka Hospital to ensure a smooth transition into her new rehabilitation phase.

Lautoka Hospital Physician Dr Manoa Valeniyasana says she is progressing excellently and will soon regain the ability to perform all her daily activities easily.

Aspen Medical’s Chief Executive Officer in Fiji Gavin Whiteside, says they are delighted with Gukiwasa's progress, and thankful to the Aspen Medical Foundation, in particular, the owners of Aspen Medical Glenn and Amelda Keys for the wonderful support.
