After inspiring others to stay in school, 48-year-old graduates with IT qualification from Polytech

After seeing many young people who had not completed Form 5 while processing files during her time working in the marketing sector, 48-year-old Vonosia Rabuluwai decided it was never too late to return to school, and today she graduated with a Level 3 Certificate in Information Technology from Pacific Polytech.

Rabuluwai, who is from Waivou, Rewa, says being part of the 350 graduates today is a proud moment after spending a year preparing for the course, including 20 weeks of practical training.

She thanked her lecturers for their dedication and the knowledge they shared throughout her studies.

Rabuluwai says she was fortunate not to face many challenges because her husband supported her financially and encouraged her every step of the way.

She dedicated her achievement to her family and her five children.

Reflecting on her previous job in the marketing sector, Rabuluwai says she regularly processed files and noticed many young people had not completed Form 5.

She says that experience motivated her to continue her own education and inspired her to encourage others to take advantage of opportunities to learn.

Rabuluwai says there is no age limit to education and is urging young people to take their studies seriously.

She also encouraged people who were unable to complete their schooling to consider enrolling at Polytech, saying it offers a second chance for those who missed out on education earlier in life to gain qualifications and build a better future.
