Eight police officers are currently being investigated for drug-related activities.
This was revealed by Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu in a press conference when asked by the media about how many officers are currently under investigation for misconduct or corruption.
He says police officers found committing any crime undergo the same process as any citizen, and there is no discrimination.
Tudravu stresses that they are trying to improve their processes because there are gaps.
He adds that there is also an internal process in place where a decision will be made through their internal affairs investigation, and his decision regarding their work or pay during the period of investigation.
