Eight of the Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma pastors have been sacked after they did not get vaccinated for COVID-19.
One was also reported to be preaching without getting vaccinated.
President of the Church Reverend Ili Vunisuwai says ordained ministers who are not vaccinated and unable to provide their service to their members will be terminated because the pastor's role is to provide spiritual service and guidance to their members.
The Methodist Church has urged all its members to get vaccinated so we all can move forward in these trying times.
