48 men’s teams, 8 women’s teams and 12 Under 20 teams are confirmed for the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s which will be held from the 24th to the 26th of September at the ANZ Stadium.

Top teams such as defending champions Police Blue, Police White, Tabadamu 1, Ratu Filise, Army Green and Gold and Wardens Gold have confirmed their participation.

Some of these teams are expected to have the services of national 7s players who have been given the green light by Coach Gareth Baber to play in the Marist 7s.

Marist Rugby Club President and Chairman of the organising committee Lawrence Tikaram says it has been a challenging time for them in terms of selecting the best teams and assisting teams that needed help with registration.

He says they will be announcing the participating teams tomorrow.

Tikaram says there are teams also on standby should a team pool out.

He is also thankful for the hardworking team working behind the scenes which include the 40 event directors and the 300 volunteers that will be working during the three-day event.

The 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held from the 24th to the 26th of September at the ANZ Stadium.
